ただよい、纏う

クラゲをモチーフとして、軽やかさや浮遊感、ゆったりとした動きの美しさを立体で表現したいと考え、この作品を制作しました。 クラゲは本来水中を漂う生き物ですが、それを重力のある空間で軽やかに表現することで、本来の環境との差異から生まれる不思議さや緊張感を引き出したいと考えました。 また、常に動くクラゲを静止した立体にする一方で、造形によって動きを想起させ、鑑賞者が日常から少し離れ、神秘性や余韻を感じられる作品を目指しました。

I created this piece with the jellyfish as my motif, aiming to express its lightness, sense of floating, and the beauty of its gentle movements in three dimensions. While jellyfish naturally drift through water, I sought to express them with lightness in a space subject to gravity. This contrast with their natural environment aims to evoke a sense of wonder and tension. Furthermore, while transforming the perpetually moving jellyfish into a static three-dimensional form, I aimed to create a piece that, through its sculptural design, suggests movement. This invites viewers to step away from their daily lives, allowing them to experience a sense of mystery and lingering resonance.
